Joey's Friends' mission is rooted in compassion and driven by a profound commitment to improving the lives of animals in need. They believe in the transformative power of love and care, especially for those who have faced the harsh realities of abuse, neglect, or the imminent threat of euthanasia in crowded shelters.
Their primary focus is fostering animals, particularly dogs, and providing them with a safe haven during their transitional period. I am thrilled to volunteer by sharing Serenity Dog Retreat with these beautiful animals.

Pete is a 6-month-old terrier mix with a silky-soft coat and a playful, affectionate personality. He’s the kind of pup who will melt your heart the moment you meet him—whether he’s trotting up to say hello, curling up for snuggles, or bouncing around with his favorite toy.
This little guy is full of happy energy and curiosity. He loves to explore, learn new things, and be part of the action—but he also knows how to settle down and soak up attention. Pete is smart, eager to please, and already picking up on basic commands.
He’s great with people, gets along well with other dogs, and would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of love, playtime, and gentle guidance as he grows.

Bear’s Journey: From Neglect to Love – Now He Needs You!
Meet Bear, a 9-year-old Chinese Shar-Pei with a heart full of love. Bear has endured years of neglect—left tied outside without proper care. When he arrived, he was suffering from severe skin issues, eye infections, and a painful urinary infection. He had shut down completely, showing no interest in treats, toys, or affection.
But Bear’s story is one of resilience and hope. With medical treatments, medicated baths, and lots of love, he slowly began to heal—both physically and emotionally. Now, his sweet personality shines through! He loves cuddles, companionship, and every bit of attention he can get.
Now, he’s looking for a loving home where he will finally be cherished. Could you be the one to give Bear the love he’s waited for his whole life?
