Joey's Friends' mission is rooted in compassion and driven by a profound commitment to improving the lives of animals in need. They believe in the transformative power of love and care, especially for those who have faced the harsh realities of abuse, neglect, or the imminent threat of euthanasia in crowded shelters.
Their primary focus is fostering animals, particularly dogs, and providing them with a safe haven during their transitional period. I am thrilled to volunteer by sharing Serenity Dog Retreat with these beautiful animals.

As Joey's Friends states, I understand many of these dogs have endured unimaginable hardships. This is why I am sponsoring pups from this amazing organization and dedicating myself to being the bridge between their painful pasts and the bright, loving futures they so rightfully deserve.

Alice 8 years old 32lbs
Alice’s Journey: Overcoming a Tumor and Finding Comfort
Meet Alice, a true survivor with a heart full of gratitude and love. Alice was found on the streets, abandoned and struggling with a large, benign tumor that was weighing her down both physically and emotionally. As she walked the streets, people passed her by, unaware of the pain she was in. But thanks to the quick intervention of Animal Control, Alice was finally given a second chance at life. They reached out to us, and we immediately took her in for the care she so desperately needed.
The tumor was successfully removed, and now Alice is thriving in a life of comfort. She enjoys lounging on plush beds, soaking up belly rubs, and simply enjoying the love and care she deserves. Alice is incredibly calm and laid-back, and she gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats! Her gentle nature makes her an ideal companion for any home looking for a relaxed and loving friend.
Alice’s journey to healing has been nothing short of incredible, and now she’s living the life she always deserved — full of comfort, affection, and plenty of playtime with her furry friends. Lucy
Lucy’s Journey: A Shy Soul Seeking the Love and Patience She Deserves
Lucy is a gentle and timid survivor, one of the many animals rescued from a heartbreaking cruelty case on Halloween of 2023. Alongside her brother Ollie, Lucy endured a life of neglect and abuse at the hands of a hoarder who kept over 20 animals in poor conditions. Thankfully, Lucy was given a second chance when a group of compassionate rescuers stepped in, saving her and over 23 other dogs that day.
Lucy is a shy, soft-hearted girl who takes time to warm up to new people. She can be a bit nervous in unfamiliar situations, but with patience and understanding, she shows her true, sweet nature. Lucy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a family who can provide her with the time, space, and gentle care she needs to feel safe.

Say hello to Dora, an energetic and lively young pup with a zest for life! Dora came to us from Alabama, thanks to a dedicated woman who rescues animals in her community. She arrived here with her sister, Nora, and has been winning hearts ever since.
Dora is full of playful energy, always ready for a game of tug-of-war, a sprint around the yard, or an exciting new adventure. Her curious nature means she’s eager to explore everything around her, making her the perfect companion for an active family.
When playtime winds down, Dora loves to settle in for some quality snuggle time, showing off her affectionate and loving side.
